Archiving a project helps maintain your project list, preserving records for future reference. When a project is archived, all associated tasks are automatically closed, and becomes read only, ensuring no further time or costs can be allocated. This helps prevent unauthorised changes, protects the project’s financial and performance data, and provides a clear snapshot of its final state. An archived project can be reopened at any time.
To archive the project, click on Archive Project, a pop-up box will prompt you to confirm the request, click Archive Project.
If there is an amount of earned value on the project that has not been billed, you will be prompted in the pop-up box. Project analytics will assist in identify the amount, more information can be found within this Knowledge Base article Project analytics.
