Grouping data in reports

Updated over a year ago

Grouping data in reports helps organise and structure information for easier analysis and comparison. By grouping related data based on specific fields, such as project, client, status, or date, you can quickly identify patterns and track performance. This feature is useful for breaking down large datasets into manageable sections, allowing you to see summaries, spot trends, and make data-driven decisions more effectively. Grouping also enhances report clarity, making it easier to interpret results and share meaningful insights with your team.

To group data, click on Grouped By and select the most relevant selection to create your results. You are only able to select one (1) group for the report, if you need advanced filtering you can use this in conjunction with Filter By.

The listing, below the chart, will also reflect the grouping, the data can be further refined by clicked into the Expand icon.

The results will then filter to show the detailed list of the requested data, this can then be further fine tuned, saved, or downloaded.
