Closing tasks allows you to manage the project and focus on the tasks yet to deliver. It can improve accountability by assigning responsibilities and avoids duplication of efforts. Additionally, closing tasks contributes to accurate reporting and resource planning.
There are 2 ways to close a task, these are:
1. Close a single task from the project view
On your selected task, click on the tick to indicate it has been completed, this will close the task, ensuring no more time, or comments can be captured. It will also highlight the line green to acknowledge its completion.
2. Mark as closed from the task dialogue box
On your selected task, open the task window and click Mark Closed, this change will take effect automatically.
3. Close multiple tasks at once
From the Project page, select the task/s you want to close by ticking the check boxes, these will highlight light blue to indicates the line is selected, a dark blue pop-up box will show in the bottom left corner with multiple action options. Click on the double tick to change the status, a pop-up box will ask you to confirm the status change and click Save Changes.
4. Re-open a single task
On your selected task, click on the tick and this will re-open the task for the project, ensuring time, or comments can be captured . This will then remove the green highlight.
5. Re-open from the task window
On your selected task, open the task window and click Reopen, this change will take effect automatically.
