Create a new supplier

This is one of the initial steps in organising your supplier information, it serves as the central record to which all related contacts are connected. Contacts linked to Companies and are required for Purchase Orders, Expenses and Bills.

To set up a supplier, navigate to Companies, click + New Company and choose New Supplier from the drop-down menu, you will need the following three (3) items to activate the supplier:

Name

name, many organisations choose to place in their Legal Entity as this information will flow across to items like estimates, invoices and accounting integrations.

Company ID

A short code used to prefix your project numbers; prefixing makes projects quicker to find and easier to remember.

Colour

Colour is used for visual reference, it will help identify clients when viewing projects and the work schedule.

You can also choose to include:

Contact information

Such as address, phone and website

Company Tax ID

A unique number used to identify business entities for taxation purposes.

Default Tax

If specified here, the default tax will override taxes in the price list.

Payment Terms

Payment terms determine the due date of invoices, you can manage the list of available options in Settings.
