Manually syncing an invoice allows you to update financial records when automatic syncing is turned off, has failed or a recent update needs to be reflected in Xero. This helps to keep the latest invoice data, including updates to line items, amounts, tax details, is accurately reflected in both systems for reporting, reconciliation, or payment tracking and avoid discrepancies.
To sync with Xero, the invoice must be in a Open status, then navigate to the Actions button, select Sync with Xero.
It only takes a moment for the information to transfer, when it has successfully transferred a green Xero sync icon will appear at the base of the invoice with a timestamp detailing the date and time the information transferred, a link to Open in Xero and the unique ID number below.
Your invoice is then viewable in your Xero account.
